Planet Records, one of the finest record shops New England has ever known, has now been around for nearly 30 years! Originally located in Kenmore Square — but by now a Harvard Square fixture for just as long — Planet has survived fire, flood, the self-inflicted implosion of the music industry and two moves. In early 2012, the store moved a few blocks west to 144 Mt. Auburn St, a bigger and better space.
Already beloved by collectors for unusually high condition standards and a carefully maintained inventory, the new location is equipped to serve Planet’s loyal customers better than ever. The store is open every day, and every day, new LPs, CDs and DVDs land on the shelves.
